Christian Braun Biography

Christian Nicholas Braun, born April 17, 2001, is an American professional basketball player who has played for the Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association. A native of Kansas, Braun earned the title of Mr. Kansas Basketball in 2019 and competed collegiately for the Kansas Jayhawks. He served as a starter for the Jayhawks during their 2022 NCAA Division I championship victory. Selected 21st overall in the 2022 NBA draft, Braun joined the Denver Nuggets as a professional player. He is one of five players in basketball history to claim both an NCAA title and an NBA title in back-to-back seasons. As a freshman at the University of Kansas, Braun averaged 5.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, earning recognition on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. Braun secured his first championship with the Nuggets after they defeated the Miami Heat in the 2023 NBA Finals.
