Chris Sanders Biography

Christopher Sanders, born on December 22, 1977, is an American former professional football quarterback. He played college football at both SMU and Chattanooga. During his senior year at Edward S. Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas, he was named the 1995 5A Offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 4,284 yards. He was one of sixteen finalists for the Walter Payton Award, which honors the top player in NCAA Division I-AA football, during his senior season. He completed thirteen passes to DeMatteo for 207 yards and three touchdowns during a game against Louisville, a Division I-A/FBS opponent. He went undrafted following his college career in the 2001 NFL draft. In 2003, he played for the Buffalo Destroyers, appearing in five games with two starts, and recorded 529 passing yards on 52-of-103 attempts with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.
