William Chase Daniel, born on October 7, 1986, is an American former professional football player who played as a quarterback in the National Football League for 14 seasons. He played college football for the Missouri Tigers and earned second-team All-American honors during the 2007 season. During his professional career, Daniel has played for the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Chargers. He was part of the New Orleans Saints team that won Super Bowl XLIV, serving as the backup quarterback. Daniel attended Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, where he played under head coach Todd Dodge and helped lead his team to three state championships. After initially playing as a wide receiver during his sophomore year, he became a two-year starter at quarterback and led his team to a 31–1 record. In the 2005 season, he served as the primary backup to Brad Smith and appeared in 10 games.
