Charles Robert Coyle, born on March 2, 1992, is an American professional ice hockey player who has played as a forward in the National Hockey League. He has competed for the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, and the Colorado Avalanche during his professional career. Coyle spent part of the 2012 season with the Saint John Sea Dogs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. A native of Massachusetts, he attended Weymouth High School and contributed to the varsity hockey team's first Super 8 finals appearance, which was held at the TD Garden. He committed to play collegiate ice hockey at Boston University in the Hockey East conference for the 2010–11 season. Coyle was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on February 4, 2013, marking the start of his professional league career.
