Charles Leclerc Biography

Charles Leclerc, born on 16 October 1997, is a Monégasque racing driver who competes in Formula One for Ferrari. In 2022, Leclerc finished as runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship while driving for Ferrari, having secured nine Grand Prix victories across nine seasons. His karting career reached a peak in 2011 when he won the junior World Cup before moving into junior formulae. Leclerc began his FIA European Formula 3 campaign in 2015, finishing fourth in his rookie season after winning several races. He made his Formula One debut in 2018 with Sauber, competing in the C37 and recording multiple points finishes as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. In 2023, Leclerc achieved five pole positions and six podiums, culminating in a victory at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024, the first win by a Monégasque driver in 93 years, with additional wins in Italy and the United States. Leclerc has a contract to remain with Ferrari through at least the end of the 2028 season.
