Carli Anne Hollins, born on July 16, 1982, is an American former professional soccer player who competed internationally for the United States. She secured gold medals in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games by scoring decisive goals in both final matches, and she earned World Cup titles in 2015 and 2019 with the U.S. national team. Lloyd received the FIFA Player of the Year award in both 2015 and 2016, recognizing her outstanding performance on the global stage. She has made 316 appearances for the United States national team, ranking second in all-time caps for the program. During her club career, she played for the Chicago Red Stars, Sky Blue FC, and the Atlanta Beat in the Women's Professional Soccer league. She represented Rutgers University from 2001 to 2005 as a member of the Scarlet Knights women's soccer team under head coach Glenn Crooks. In the summer of 2004, prior to completing her senior year at Rutgers, she played a single match for the semi-professional W-League side New Jersey Wildcats.
