Cam Thomas Biography

Cameron Bouchea Thomas, born on October 13, 2001, is an American professional basketball player who has competed in the National Basketball Association. He was recognized as a consensus five-star recruit and ranked among the top shooting guards in the 2020 college basketball recruiting class. During his collegiate season, he averaged 26.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, leading his team to a 31–5 record. Thomas recorded nine games with 30 or more points, including two performances with 40 or more points. On November 18, 2019, he committed to play college basketball for Louisiana State University. In his college debut on November 26, 2020, he scored 27 points in a 94–81 victory over SIU Edwardsville. He was selected 27th overall in the 2021 NBA draft by the Brooklyn Nets.
