Caleb Downs Biography

Caleb Downs, born on December 10, 2004, is an American professional football safety who has played in the National Football League. He has competed for both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes during his college football career. With Ohio State, he secured the 2024 national championship and received the 2025 Lott Trophy and Jim Thorpe Award. He was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. He was honored as the 2023 USA Today Defensive Football Player of the Year. In a game against No. 5 Indiana, he returned a punt for a touchdown covering 79 yards. At the end of the 2024 season, he was recognized as a unanimous All-American.
