Caitlin Elizabeth Clark, born on January 22, 2002, is an American professional basketball player who has competed in the Women's National Basketball Association. She has been recognized as one of the most accomplished female collegiate players, earning national player of the year honors twice and becoming the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer during her tenure with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Clark attended Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, where she received McDonald's All-American honors and was ranked as the fourth-best player in her high school class by ESPN. During her sophomore year, she became the first women's basketball player in Division I history to lead the nation in both points and assists in a single season. Selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, she has played for the Indiana Fever and earned Rookie of the Year and All-WNBA First Team honors in her initial professional season. In 2026, she set the Indiana Fever franchise single-game scoring record by recording 45 points in a regular-season contest. She has an older brother, Blake, who played college football at Iowa State, and a younger brother, Colin.
