Bubba Watson Biography

Gerry Lester 'Bubba' Watson Jr., born on November 5, 1978, is an American professional golfer who has competed on the PGA Tour. He has won two major championships, including victories at the Masters Tournament in 2012 and 2014, and has secured 12 PGA Tour titles. In February 2015, Watson achieved a career-high ranking of second in the Official World Golf Ranking. As a left-handed golfer, he has consistently ranked among the longest drivers on tour, with an average drive of 315.2 yards in 2007. Watson played collegiate golf at Faulkner State Community College in Baldwin County, Alabama, where he earned junior college All-American honors. As a junior, he contributed to his team’s success in winning the SEC title in 2000. He captured his first PGA Tour victory on June 27, 2010, at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut, winning in a sudden-death playoff on the second extra hole against Corey Pavin and Scott Verplank.
