Bryce Young Biography

Bryce Christopher Young, born on July 25, 2001, is an American professional football quarterback who has played for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he achieved 559 passing yards in a single game and won the Heisman Trophy in 2021. Young was selected first overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2023 NFL draft. A five-star recruit, he was ranked No. 1 among dual-threat quarterbacks and No. 2 overall in the 2020 class by the 247Sports Composite. During his freshman year at Alabama, Young served as the backup to junior quarterback Mac Jones throughout the 2020 season. Bryce Young entered the game in the final quarter during Alabama's matchup against Missouri at Faurot Field on September 26, 2020. Young appeared in nine games during the 2020 season, finishing with 156 passing yards and one touchdown.
