Brice Turang Biography

Brice Craig Turang, born on November 21, 1999, is an American professional baseball player who has played as a second baseman in Major League Baseball. The Milwaukee Brewers selected Turang in the first round of the 2018 MLB draft, choosing him 21st overall. During his high school freshman year, Turang achieved national recognition as the top freshman in the country after hitting .475 with two home runs and 27 RBIs. He committed to play college baseball at Louisiana State University before beginning his professional career. Turang started the 2019 season with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, earning a spot in the Midwest League All-Star game. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Turang trained at the Brewers’ alternate site in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 2022, he played for Triple-A Nashville, posting a .286 batting average, .360 on-base percentage, and .412 slugging percentage with 13 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 34 stolen bases.
