Brian Urlacher, born on May 25, 1978, played 13 seasons in the NFL as a professional linebacker for the Chicago Bears. He earned consensus All-American honors and won MW Player of the Year in 1999 while playing college football for the New Mexico Lobos. Urlacher was selected ninth overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2000 NFL draft. He was recognized as one of the NFL's most productive defensive players and won the NFL Rookie of the Year Award. During his career, he was selected to eight Pro Bowls and named first-team All-Pro four times, including winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He led the Lovington High School Wildcats to an undefeated 14–0 season and a division 3-A state championship in 1995. The New Mexico Lobos finished with winning records during Urlacher's first two years and made a trip to the 1997 Insight.com Bowl.
