Brian Scalabrine Biography

Brian David Scalabrine, born March 18, 1978, is an American former professional basketball player who has served as a television analyst for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. He has worked as a commentator for the Big3 basketball league and co-hosts 'The Starting Lineup' on SiriusXM NBA Radio. Raised in Enumclaw, Washington, Scalabrine transferred from Highline College to the University of Southern California to continue his basketball career. As a member of the USC Trojans men's basketball team, he led in scoring and ranked among the top in field goals made and rebounds grabbed. He played four seasons with the New Jersey Nets, a team that reached the NBA Finals in his first two seasons. Scalabrine joined the Chicago Bulls the following season and remained with the team until 2012. He earned recognition as a Northern Division All-Star in 1997 and was named to the All-Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Championship Tournament Team.
