Brett Lorenzo Favre, born October 10, 1969, played American football as a professional quarterback in the National Football League for 20 seasons, primarily with the Green Bay Packers. He made 321 consecutive starts from 1992 to 2010, including 297 regular season games, a record in NFL history. Favre played college football at Southern Mississippi and was chosen in the second round of the 1991 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons, where he served as a backup for one season. After being traded to the Packers, he became their starting quarterback early in the 1992 season and led the team through a period of resurgence. His 2009 season with the Minnesota Vikings included guiding the team to a division title and an NFC Championship Game appearance, along with strong statistical performance. At the conclusion of his career, Favre held the NFL record for most passing completions, passing attempts, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and quarterback wins. He earned 11 Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro honors during his professional career.
