Breanna Stewart Biography

Breanna Mackenzie Stewart, born on August 27, 1994, is an American professional basketball player who has competed in the Women's National Basketball Association and internationally in club competitions. She has achieved recognition as one of the most accomplished basketball players in history due to her sustained excellence across multiple leagues and competitions. Stewart was selected first overall in the 2016 WNBA draft and received the WNBA Rookie of the Year award in the same season. She has been named the WNBA Most Valuable Player in 2018 and 2023, and has earned All-Star honors in 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2021, she was recognized as one of the top 25 players in the WNBA's first 25 years through the W25 honor. She has won three EuroLeague Women championships and was named league MVP in 2019, while also claiming national league titles in Russia and Turkey. Stewart has won gold medals with the U.S. women's national team in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympics, and at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIBA World Cups.
