Brady Kevin Anderson, born on January 18, 1964, is an American former baseball player who has served as a hitting coach in Major League Baseball. He has played for the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and Cleveland Indians during his professional career. Anderson spent most of his time as a center fielder and leadoff hitter with the Baltimore Orioles in the 1990s, earning three All-Star selections. A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, he was chosen by the Red Sox in the tenth round of the 1985 amateur draft. In 1992, he recorded 53 stolen bases, making him the first player in major league history to reach 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in separate seasons. He made his major league debut on April 4, 1988, beginning his professional career in the top tier of baseball. Despite missing 15 games due to illness and injury, he led all American League leadoff hitters in extra-base hits and RBI during one season.
