Brad Marchand, born on May 11, 1988, is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who has played as a left winger in the National Hockey League. The Boston Bruins selected Marchand in the third round, 71st overall, during the 2006 NHL entry draft. Marchand became part of the Bruins' regular roster in 2010, initially playing on the fourth line before advancing to the first line during the playoffs, contributing to the team's Stanley Cup victory in 2011. He also helped the Bruins reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2013 and 2019 during his tenure with the team. During his time with the Bruins, Marchand increased his goal output each season and earned multiple fines and suspensions, while being selected to four NHL All-Star Games. From 2018 to 2021, Marchand ranked as one of the top-scoring left wingers in the NHL, recording 163 assists and 256 points across the three seasons. After being traded to the Florida Panthers in March 2025, he played a key role in the team's playoff campaign and won his second Stanley Cup in 2025.
