Brad Benson, born on November 25, 1955, was an American professional football player who played as a tackle in the National Football League from 1978 to 1988. He was a key contributor to the 1986 New York Giants team that won Super Bowl XXI against the Denver Broncos. Benson earned a Pro Bowl selection during the 1986 season for his performance on the offensive line. He played college football at Penn State from 1974 to 1976 and previously attended Altoona Area High School. Although drafted by the New England Patriots in the eighth round of the 1977 NFL Draft, he did not play for the team. After retiring from football, Benson transitioned into business and began working in the automotive sales industry. His younger brother, Troy Benson, played in the NFL for the New York Jets from 1985 to 1990.
