Bobby Dalbec Biography

Robert Vernon Dalbec, born on June 29, 1995, is an American professional baseball infielder who has played in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Yomiuri Giants. Dalbec has previously played in Major League Baseball for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. He played high school baseball at Legend High School in Parker, Colorado, where he served as a shortstop and pitcher. Dalbec played college baseball at Arizona, where he played as a third baseman, first baseman, and relief pitcher. As a sophomore, he posted a .319 batting average with on-base and slugging percentages of .410 and .601, and he hit 15 home runs in 213 at bats. In 2018, Dalbec began the season with the Salem Red Sox, a High-A affiliate in the Carolina League. In 2019, Dalbec played for the United States national team during the WBSC Premier 12 competition.
