Blake Bortles Biography

Robby Blake Bortles, born April 28, 1992, is an American former professional football quarterback who has played in the National Football League for eight seasons, primarily with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He competed in college football for the UCF Knights, earning the AAC Offensive Player of the Year award in 2013. Bortles was chosen by the Jaguars with the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. As the Jaguars' starting quarterback from 2014 to 2018, he established franchise records for single-season passing yards and touchdowns in 2015. His most productive season occurred in 2017, when he contributed to the Jaguars achieving their first division title and an AFC Championship Game appearance since 1999. He accepted a scholarship offer from UCF, the first college to extend one to him and located near his hometown. During his tenure as starter from 2012 to 2013, Bortles compiled a 22–5 win–loss record for the Knights.
