Bill Goldberg Biography

William Scott Goldberg, born on December 27, 1966, is an American former professional wrestler and football player known mononymously as Goldberg. He has competed in major promotions including World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. After WCW closed in 2001, he competed in All Japan Pro Wrestling from 2002 to 2003 and in WWE from 2003 to 2004, winning the World Heavyweight Championship during that period. Goldberg was honored as a headliner in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 and has been recognized as a four-time world champion across WWE and WCW. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL draft, selected 301st overall. Following a period as a free agent, he re-signed with the Rams on March 18, 1991. On February 4, 1992, he was chosen by the Sacramento Surge in the seventh round of the 1992 WLAF draft, selected 68th overall.
