Arian Isa Foster was born on August 24, 1986, and has played professional football as a running back in the National Football League. He has played in the NFL for seven and a half seasons as a running back. Foster played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers and was signed by the Houston Texans in 2009 as an undrafted free agent. In the 2010 season, he led the league in rushing yards with 1,616 and earned his first Pro Bowl selection. Foster has four siblings, including Abdul, who played track in high school and college at Florida A&M, and his sister Christina, brother Braxton, and sister Maria. During a game against Clairemont High School, he ran for 321 yards and received All-San Diego Western League Player of the Year honors, along with All-West Region and All-California Interscholastic Federation recognition. In his 2005 redshirt freshman season, Foster was an immediate contributor to his college team.
