Michael Anthony Muñoz Sr. played his entire 13-season professional football career with the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League as an offensive tackle. He competed in college football for the USC Trojans, contributing to their success during his tenure. An ESPN panel in 2022 recognized him as the greatest offensive tackle in NFL history based on performance and impact. Muñoz attended Chaffey High School in Ontario, California, where he earned honors as an offensive lineman in the Citrus Belt League and CIF Southern Section 4-A Division. USC won a bowl game in each of his four seasons, including three Rose Bowl victories. During his senior year, he sustained torn knee ligaments in the opening game and missed the remainder of the regular season, but he returned to play in the 1980 Rose Bowl against Ohio State. The Cincinnati Bengals selected him third overall in the 1980 NFL draft after his collegiate career at USC.
