Andruw Rudolf Jones, born on April 23, 1977, is a CuraƧaoan former professional baseball player who played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily with the Atlanta Braves. He has played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees, and also competed in Nippon Professional Baseball with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Jones received the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for outfielders every year from 1998 through 2007 due to his defensive performance. He earned All-Star honors in 2002 and 2003, marking notable offensive achievements during those seasons. In 2007, he recorded his lowest batting average to that point, finishing at .222, after a strong 2006 season with a career-high 129 RBIs. After the 2007 season, he joined the Dodgers on a two-year contract worth $36.2 million. He reached 400 career home runs in 2010 while playing for the Chicago White Sox.
