Andrew Shaw, born on July 20, 1991, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was chosen by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, selected 139th overall in the fifth round, and later won two Stanley Cup championships with the team in 2013 and 2015. Shaw played for the Montreal Canadiens during the final phase of his professional career before retiring in 2021 due to multiple concussions. He began his junior hockey career with the Niagara IceDogs, making his Ontario Hockey League debut on September 20, 2008, in a game against the Ottawa 67's. During a match against the Sudbury Wolves on October 17, 2009, he recorded a goal and two assists, marking his first multi-point performance in junior hockey. On September 15, 2010, he achieved a season-best four assists in a game against the Guelph Storm. In the 2010–11 season, he led his team, Owen Sound, in penalty minutes with 135 and recorded 54 points, which was a career high in the junior ranks.
