Andre Reed, born January 29, 1964, played 16 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. He played college football at Kutztown University, where he transitioned to wide receiver and gained recognition for his speed and endurance. Reed spent 15 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, earning seven Pro Bowl selections during his tenure. At the time of his retirement in 2001, he ranked second in NFL history for career receptions. He began his college career at Kutztown University, later moving to the wide receiver position and drawing NFL attention. After the Bills' victory over Houston, he recorded eight receptions for 152 yards in Super Bowl XXVII, which they lost to the Dallas Cowboys. He concluded his career with the Washington Redskins in 2000 after requesting release from the Broncos, who had planned to keep him inactive for their season opener.
