Allan Wade Houston Jr. born on April 20, 1971, is an American former professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1993 to 2005. As a shooting guard, he played nine seasons with the New York Knicks and was part of the team that reached the 1999 NBA Finals. He earned two NBA All-Star selections and won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. men's basketball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Since 2019, he has served as special assistant to the general manager for the New York Knicks and as general manager of the Knicks' G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he played high school basketball at Ballard High School where his team won the 1988 Kentucky state championship. The University of Tennessee retired his jersey number 20 during a halftime event on March 6, 2011, honoring his collegiate career. In the 1993 NBA draft, the Detroit Pistons chose Allan Houston with the eleventh pick, and he scored 8.5 points per game during his first season.
