Adam LaMarque Jones, born on August 1, 1985, is an American former professional baseball center fielder. He has played in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, and Arizona Diamondbacks, and also competed in Nippon Professional Baseball with the Orix Buffaloes. Jones represented the United States in international competition, contributing to the nation's victory in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. The Seattle Mariners selected him in the first round of the 2003 MLB draft, marking the start of his professional career. He made his MLB debut with the Mariners in 2006 and was traded to the Baltimore Orioles prior to the 2008 season. Jones has earned five MLB All-Star selections, four Gold Glove Awards, a Silver Slugger Award, and the Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award in 2015. He graduated from Morse High School in 2003, where he served as both a pitcher and shortstop for his team.
